 membershipMembership? Very casual. There's a core group of about 5 of us that organize events. That's it. We're doing this because we like to orienteer and the best way to be able to O is to put on meets. We make our own maps and design our own courses. Anyone who's interested starts showing up a lot and we start asking them to help out. There is no official membership. We usually have an orienteering meeting to organize the upcoming season held in February at Interplan Co. We will send a reminder to those on our email list. Click here to join our e-mailing list Directions to the meeting: The office is in Midvale, 7719 South Main. In Midvale, South Main is actually 700 West. So, best technique is to take the 7200 S exit from I-15 and go west. Turn South at the first intersection (700 w) after the freeway, go under a railroad bridge and then turn left (east) to "Midvale downtown". Interplan's building is the last one on the east side before the traffic light. It's the North East corner of 7800 South and 700 West. Coming from the south, you can take the 90Th south exit of I-15 and go West to 700 W. Go north from there and it's the first building after the traffic light at 7800 S. Parking is on the street or Trax is about 1 mile away. |
