Yellow Fork terrain is mostly juniper forest and open rocky clearings. The main Yellow Fork canyon forks about 1.5 KM from the start. There are numerous side canyons where the advanced courses will go. There are many small cliffs and boulders. Running is generally slow. Map scale will be 1:7500.
Note: The BLM is clearing many junipers from the area. Thus many white areas may now be yellow (with dead trees).
Bathrooms are available.
